She wanted to show everyone that she was the poor wife who had to suffer with Jon," Dr. Carole Lieberman told CTV.ca in a telephone interview from Beverly Hills.
"And Jon became humiliated and felt as though he had to leave in order to show the world that he was a man and his celebrity status now gave him the self-esteem to think that he could get other women. So neither of those things would have happened had they not been on television."
