I guess it was the incredible decline in play... he seemed to be at the top of the sport and then unheard of.
This US Open I would have been happy if Hefty (for his wife, although the ESPN love-in over that story line would have been horrible) would have won or Duval...

Oh that's just mean!
My understanding of Duval is he never wanted to admit or believe he was the best golfer in the world and that's when his problems started for him. Confidence declined, his body changed (in a good way but must have effected his golf game in a bad way) and the vertigo started. It's really too bad because he was one of my favorites back in the day, who didn't want a paid of those Oakleys and look like Duval?
Being 38 or 39 I think it is too late for him to be
that golfer anymore but he can definitely find himself top 50 in the world if he keeps it up and maybe win some smaller tournaments.
Also is it just me or is anyone else annoyed by Miller and the NBC crew's love fest for Tiger? I understand he is the number one golf in the world and one of the only reasons half the viewers tune in but come on. Tiger is 0-39 (40 now) in majors he isn't leading yet no matter what happened like bogey on number one they kept telling everyone he was ready to shot 62-63. For some reason it was annoying me and I love Tigger.
