Getting really bad packet loss, 66%.. call Shaw, "Is your computer connected directly to the modem? Everything looks good to me.".. Um no in this day and age people have home networks, my modem is in my furnace room.
Plus I tell him my router has a different MAC address so if I put my comptuer directly on the network won't like it.. so I rewire my network to get my computer directly on the modem, and sure enough it doesn't like it, no IP.
And then he sees the same packet loss.
His solution? Wait a few days, it should clear up.
*sigh*
I kind of need it to work, so he books a service call.
*le sigh*
On the plus side, tethering on my iPhone works!
