I've not had one single problem, yet they all (to a person) want to schedule an extraction. And they tell all sorts of horror stories to shock and awe you into getting it done. Anyway, I just tell them that if I ever experience a problem with them, I'll let them know. So far, so good.
I have all mine still, but I've had the initial visit with the surgeon and will schedule something for perhaps August. Mine are not bothering me either, but I'm getting tired of all the whining the hygenist and the dentist give me when I'm in there. The dentist did have a good point - they aren't bothering me now, but since I'm (relatively) healthy it makes sense to get them out as a preventative measure. If you leave them in you ocould develop an infection which could be be a bad thing later in life. I also think it might help give my teeth some room to roam as they are all pretty tightly packed. Flossing is tough to do between some of them.

On the sedation topic, my dentist looked at the xray and just referred me to the oral surgeon. Mine are impacted and a couple of the roots are "horse clipped" so they wouldn't be easy to pull out. He said I could have him extract them which would take a long time, a lot of effort, and more pain afterwards or I could go to the surgeon, get knocked out, and have him cut them out and be done in 20 mins.
