Haha I forgot I posted this last night...
We missed out on tickets for the Calgary show, tried to wait till the last minute to scoop some decent seats on the cheep, but no dice. Landed some pretty good seats for the Edmonton show though for only $75.
Man oh man, what a show!
First time seeing them live. I've seen concert DVDs, etc, but first time in-person. It was crazy... I kept reading in reviews and magazines about how they were a completely different band in concert, and how parts of their songs are written for full arenas, etc...
I'd think... wtf, ok I love Coldplay, but this stuff doesn't sound like "arena rock" to me. It would be way more at-home at the Jubilee than the Dome...
No way. Now I understand. I don't care how much you guys hate them (Slayer is still one of my all time favourite bands and part of my every-day play lists), if you see them live... It's not the same Coldplay from the CDs.
Btw, Chris Martin is a freak. I remember being blown away at how Angus Young moves non-stop at a show... Chris Martin almost puts him to shame in that regard.
