The time when I got my broken wisdom tooth taken out was perhaps the least uncomfortable dentist experience I've had. Pretty much painless, over fairly quickly, and no drilling or polishing.
I went in dreading it, and was pleasantly surprised as to how easy it was.
Of course, the headache for the next week wasn't as fun.
