When our dog trainer came over he commented on it. He classified it as a control tool and not a teaching tool. I'd share strategies but as I said in my previous post, we've only just begun. Yes I said that on purpose in the hopes of getting a very annoying song in your head.
Well, I'm interested to hear how it works out with the trainer. Maybe after only one "session" it's too early to recommend him? But I would not be opposed to trying a trainer with our dogs. We did obedience classes with both, which helped for general stuff - sit, stay, name recall, etc. The leash thing is still a fairly major issue for us though.
