I still can't sit through 2001 and I'm a sci fi buff. Blade runner was really good, but it wasn't the best

It depends on what your judging them by, for pure entertainment value Star Wars and the Empire Strikes back are two of the best, the return of the jedi being ruined by the damned muppet show.

The Star Trek movies would have been ranked right up there but thier average was destroyed by all of the god awful next generation pictures.

The first Terminator was one of the coolest movies but the second one was destroyed by Edward Furlong, and the third one had a naked woman and some nice action, but didn't really add much to the flick

The top sci fi movie for me though was the first Alien film, atmosphere, suspense, rusty old ships and Weaver in that underwear kapow
