My friends all ask if my fiancee and I have set a date. The female friends are looking forward to the wedding, and the guys all want to go to another stag.

I still say it's up to the groom, but in fairness I have been the guy saying "come on- you aren't married yet! A stag in Thailand would just rock!" It was up to the groom then to tell me to f off; as it is up to ATR to tell his current frinds the same thing.
I have nothing against the friends throwing out ideas. I just think they're being dicks by throwing out his concerns with disregard. I just think it is about respect. I get guys busting each others balls a bit, but to me it sounds like atr is really getting disrespected by his wolf pack. And I think you are correct though. It really does sound like his friends just want to see the peelers because they normally "can't".
