Well I'm glad you're the authority on the subject. I guess I look at like this. If it wasn't for the groom their would be no party. It is celebrating the grooms 'last night of freedom'. Like how the wedding reception is celebrating the start of the couples lives together. If the groom just 'plays a roll' in Stag, why bother having a stag? If atr's buddies want to have a party solely for them they can hit up the French Maid sans an officially sanctioned wedding related event. To me it just seems that his buddies want to see the peelers but aren't the type to normally go, hence they pressure on having them at the Stag. If the party has little to nothing to do for the groom, as he doesn't pay or plan etc, why is he even there? It is atr's night.
