0-60 times, of course they vary by tester, but the Shelby has a poor 0-60, but good trap speeds...
Shelby 0-60 - 4.6 seconds
Camaro 0-60 - 4.7 seconds
100 hp in difference, almost identical 0-60 times....if ford had put an independant rear suspension in that shelby, it would have been a really great car. I love the shelby, but it wouldnt have been my first choice.....alot of HP, no way to hook it up....
You could buy a 1ss camaro for around 40k, another 8K for a supercharger, and absolutely kill the shelby.....

I've seen a couple '09 Shelbys for 40K, on the same lot - they had quite a few of them though. Ford has seemed to have problems with getting Mustangs to hook up out of the box. Aftermarket suspension is very, very important for them.
I can't argue that an SS Camaro with an aftermarket supercharger would walk a GT500. However, you could say that about almost anything. For instance, if I dropped 8K into my car, I could go around hunting Z06s and Ford GTs.
