Agree with this, except I'll add that I hate packing up wet stuff too.
Once you're set up with tarps and everything, the rain is a non-factor. In fact, the cooler weather keeps the ice in your cooler ice for a longer period of time.
Not that camping in hot dry weather isn't better.
