I could never, ever, live with a tarantula in my house!!! Gives me the shudders just thinking about it, actually.
I also have further discrimination about hamsters (sorry in advance to the hamster supporters) - hamsters are just basically mice that you're keeping as pets. Yuck. I'd personally avoid rodents and spiders if at all possible.
