When I was a kid, things were different. We shoveled sidewalks, ushered old ladies across the street, fed the homeless, held fair fistfights in the schoolyard when someone got out of line and most importantly, sat in silence in the movie theatre.

I don't know what happened. My old man talks about how well-behaved my generation was, and grandpa said the same thing about my dad's generation. Somewhere along the way, kids lost their way.
I think you then have to take a look at the previous generation, and the way they raised these kids. To just assume every kid born after 1987 went crazy by themselves doesn't make alot of sense. Obviously there's a serious issue with coddling and overprotection which has led these kids to feel no fear. That's why they're such little dousches now.

EDIT: I got a buddy who's a teacher and its amazing the amount of times parents these days blindly defend their kids when clearly the kid is at fault. One parent actually tried to get my buddy fired because their little brat wasn't getting good enough grades(probably because he never did his homework and just mouthed off in class, as my buddy said). I can't believe parents would act that way, back when I was in grade school(which wasn't that long ago at all, I'm in college), my parents would've KILLED me if I pulled a stunt like that, they'd totally side with the teacher. Parents today need to take some responsibility and look at themselves for how kids are turning out.
