Makes sense that the original owner who was ripped off should have first crack. I lost a chunk of money when paid off, be nice to get that paid back in a way.
And what if the vehicle had sentimental value? I had a friend who's Dad died and left him a van, he took care of that vehicle and held onto it. I can imagine he would be quite upset if this happened to him and he lost it to a higher bidder.

Don't get me wrong, I agree that you should get first crack at buying it. I was just pointing out that the bike isn't yours anymore.
