There is still a reason why the greatest golfer right now did not even shoot under 72 in all 4 rounds. It is tough to expect anyone to do this as there are so many different variables. Look at the Top ten in this tournament and you will see why most of them did not shoot well.
All I am saying is golf is a fickle game and the slightest thing can be Tiger woods eagle on the 12th hole and the roar of the crowd. Byrd's game dropped off immediately after that eagle on 12. Let alone a shot you make or don't and how that can impact your game for the rest of the day. The guys at the top did drop back some strokes, but Tiger still had to shoot a 66 (shot a 65) to win that tournament. If Tiger would have shot a 67 or 68 (which still would have been a great round) he would have been in a playoff that he could have lost or lost generally. Furyk played like Furyk always does.
I am not surprised by the results at that tournament, but if Tiger didn't shoot what he did he would not have won that tournament.
