Seriously, 14 year olds are stupid. Mouthing off in a movie theatre is well within their expected range of actions.
Adults presumably are not. Hence actually trying to take up the 14 year olds invitation to brawl isn't in what most people would classify as acceptable behaviour.

I'm with BBS here, just didn't want to be the first only one to say it. Seriously, you go to a few kids with a confrontational attitude, and you expect a mature response? I dunno, seems kind of immature to take that sort of attitude. If your goal was to pick up a fight and show how stupid kids are and scare a few 14 year olds, yeah you go and tell them you are going to beat one with the others corpse. (you would also be the slimebag of the earth if you did) If your goal to to get them to shut up so you can watch the movie, you tell them "hey guys, can you please stop talking as much so we can watch the movie?" Or, as I think I said above, you could have just moved. Probably one reason I don't have so many problems as everyone else is cause I usually look for seats away from people and notably, teenagers so they can do what they want and I can just enjoy the movie.
I think there was a bit of a lack of forward thinking here
