Seriously, 14 year olds are stupid. Mouthing off in a movie theatre is well within their expected range of actions.
Adults presumably are not. Hence actually trying to take up the 14 year olds invitation to brawl isn't in what most people would classify as acceptable behaviour.

I think the threat of physical violence might be the only way to get through to some of these coddled teens. Even if someone from the theatre comes to deal with them, what's the worst that happens to them? They get kicked out? Big deal.
But if they think there might be a chance that they'll get an ass kicking in public, they'll think twice about the repercussions of acting like an idiot.
