There was a meeting back in December where the area plan was passed through first reading but a transportation study was commissioned. The plan will undergo second and third readings this fall. There is a vocal NIMBY group in Brentwood trying to speaking out against the development, citing concerns over the usual stuff like crime and increased traffic. Luckily there is also a vocal pro-densification/urbanization community that is making sure council is being provided with both viewpoints.
