If at high altitude, loss of oxygen could cause you to pass out, but sadly as you get nearer to the ground/water, higher oxygen levels in the air would mean you would wake up just at the worst point.
I have often wondered what exactly happens to people on impact. They say you die on impact, but how does this happen? What do you see or feel?
