Try leaving just before 7am. It's amazing how many people hit the road at 7, and how empty the streets are beforehand.

Speaking of which, the city needs to pull its head out of its behind and fix those bottlenecks. There is no reason at all for the highway to go from four lanes to three to two to three to two to three to four to five between Memorial and 130th. Fix those up, and Deerfoot's traffic issues in the south vanish entirely.

Is there any long range plan for this? It would actually be the provincial government's responsibility.
