Just saw it and frankly, I hated this interpretation of Kirk. I wanted have punched him in the face repeatedly.

The spock, McCoy and even the sulu and scotty characters were well done, but if I wanted to see impressions, they could have hired rich little to do it.

I wasn't crazy about the plot, and since the Wrath of Khan they haven't really created anything but 2 dimensional bland villians.

It was ok, it was popcorn treak, but it doesn't rank anywhere near TWOK TSFS TVH and TUD.

In otherwards it was typical JJ Abrams, it was pretty, it was shakey and it covered up its weaknesses very well.

Maybe the hype was to much and I expected to much.
