Man I don't miss property taxes... since moving outta calgary in december, my "property tax" is 9.00 a month... 5.00 for garbage collection and 4.00 for the fire department...
The garbage collection is optional...
Of course I miss all the sweet services we used to get from our city property taxes... Like cool bridges, 2 hour commutes, light polution, 16ft of sidewalk, zoning restrictions, bi-laws and council elections....
