Use photon's advice. The Gmail interface via Dreamhost hosting is worth the money for sure. Far better than Squirrel mail or what ever else GoDaddy is using.

I'd also say hit up http://www.domainsatcost.ca for registering the domain. They are a great canadian company that's cheap (12.00 for .ca domains and 14.95 for .com domains) Just make sure you only chose the register package and not the full hosting package.
