Oh, my bad. I thought you were ranting about the assessment part (clearly home values have not increased 25%!).
Our taxes also went up 25%, if it makes you feel better. Maybe the City increased 10% and the province increased their portion as well (15%?)? I don't really know. I actually try to pay as little attention as possible to taxes and City Hall in general because I'll just get all pissed off about it.
