I have been mugged on several occasions, only once in Canada. I actually fought back in all three occasions, and once seriously injured the mugger. The guy was a cab driver with his wife/girlfriend or something riding shotgun. This took place in a country where they don't have that thing that tracks the cost for the ride. Anyway, the amount should have been five bucks American, pretty much standard for someone not local. The wife initially wanted me to take the two of them out drinking and they would bring a friend for me. I did not want any part of that. So when I got home the driver wanted a lot more than five bucks (I forget how much). I threw five bucks in the front and got out (after some major arguing), the driver followed me out and got between myself and my destination. The driver kept reaching in the back of his pants as if he had something to fight me with, and demanded my wallet. I was over confident because my building has an armed guard and I always gave the guards food and stuff. Unfortunately, the guard was somewhere else and I had to go into fight mode. At that time in my life, I just ended about three hardcore years of Kung Fu training, and can kick someone in the nuts REALLY HARD. I booted this guy's nuts so hard, he certainly will not have offspring, and gave a front thrust kick which sent him on his back and he rolled over to his chest where I broke his arm with a heel kick. His arm made a right angle from my kick...The heel kick was aimed at his watch which came off and was laying on the ground. At that moment, the security guard showed up. I picked up the watch and handed it to the guard and said it was his, and that if this guy came back, to shoot him.

I was quite happy with the situation since that guy tried to steal from me and then tried to mug me. The place where I lived happened to be the building where US air force pilots live, the ones that fly the hercules and other major planes. I am not pilot or anything, but he should have known where I was being driven to, and to think not to mug someone there.
