Safeco is a really nice park, last time I watched the M's in Seattle was against the Blue Jays in 93 in the Kingdome which was a terrible ball park. I got to watch two games at Safeco Field the second week it was open. Mariners were playing the Orioles. In the bottom of the fifth inning the Mariners loaded the bases with no outs with Ken Griffey Jr. coming to the plate. It was a Friday night game in a brand new stadium and the place was a sellout. Crowd was going nuts as the Orioles made a pitching change before Griffey came to the plate. Griffey strikes out. A-Rod comes up next, blasts the first pitch into the left field bleachers for a grand slam. Pretty cool moment to witness live.
