Seems the police throw the attempted murder charges out there quick when someone goes near them..............i love the police, don't get me wrong but who knows what this guy really did.

It's not the police that decide what someone is charged with, it is the Crown Prosecutor (or whatever they call it in the US).

The cops are just supposed to arrest the people and present the facts of the case, and someone else decides what the charges should be.
