I know I know, they should be held to a higher standard and all that, but that nut obviously tried to kill a cop a few minutes before he crashed. They are human beings -- they gave the guy a few shots and I don't blame 'em.
According to one article I read, that jackass didn't even know he'd been roughed up until he saw the video.

I am torn. Yes, human nature you want to give a few kicks to a person with no regard for the law that nearly kills your fellow colleagues and other innocent bystanders. The other side is that the police are held in a high professional standard and are only required to use force when necessary. Someone unconscious after a car accident doesn't need any more force to be subdued.
The victim was no saint and I don't have much sympathy but he didn't need extra force to be restrained.
