Pretty good season finale, though not as much conflict as it really needed. The fact that Nina Sharpe and William Bell are being nice to Olivia and the death of Jones leaves that particular arc without a conflict, and if you had already understood the notion of an alternate reality, the final shot with the WTC isn't really that much a surprise.
But the Peter/Walter relationship is really interesting... is there an alternate reality Walter, and how does he feel about his son being taken from him? How's Peter going to react when he finds out?
I really liked that the first scene with Walter Bell seemed influenced by one of my favorite movie scenes of all time: in Apocalypse Now, you spend so long anticipating Kurtz, and when you finally meet him, he stays in the shadows for a few moments longer, so that you just hear his voice and catch glimpses of his face. Same thing with Bell here, although I wish the whole scene had been a bit longer.
I'm very curious to see how they do the timelines. This alternate reality seems fairly similar to our own, so it had to have diverged fairly recently.
