We built our deck with Trex Decking and have really enjoyed it. It's been through 3 winters, and asides from a little fading from the sun, it has been great. Still looks great, and require very little maintanence.

I also installed the Trex Railing that came with it. It looks nice, but be prepared as it was very expensive. I could have gone with a different product and gotten the same results at a much lower price.

I installed it with a hidden fastener system called Shadoe Track, that you screw in from underneath the deck, so you don't have any nail/screw holes on the surface. The end result looks very nice, and I would recommend it.

There is another product out there that has clips that hold the planks in place that you screw in from the side. (Tiger Claw, expensive though) Both will work nice.

I would also recommend TimberTech (They have some really nice colours, just be prepared as the darker colours will fade) as well as Trex. Both are easy to use.

The place where I purchased all these items from was the Lumber King, in the Greenview Industrial Park. Great prices. (Beat Home Depot, & Rona by about 10%)

Good luck with your project.
