So for another $150 he only gets a set of irons..... no Driver, no 3 Wood, no 5 Wood, no putter, and no bag. To get these missing clubs and bag, the minimum he will spend in addition to the $430 for the Taylor R7 irons, would be at least $400.
The set I recommended comes with all of the above and is only $280. (not Taylor quality, granted, but the guy is only a beginner afterall... he won't notice the difference).
