Good news for Star Trek today.

It now occupies the #82 spot in the top 250 all-time on IMDb.

Star Trek made approximately $7 million on Thursday night and $24 million Friday totalling $31 million thus far. Today will probably be its biggest day, being a Saturday. Initial estimates put the opening weekend for Star Trek at $60-70 million but it now looks as though it will surpass those figures. The writer of the article linked below believes that Star Trek will definitely pass $75 million and probably land around $85 million for its opening weekend.
