I once invested an hour or so of my time talking to a telemarketer getting her to explain different MBNA Mastercards to me trying to determine what is best for me, then compare it to my current credit card. Then I nicely explained the math behind what I was looking for and compared what she presented versus what I currently have.

Then I got her to agree with me that switching was a bad idea, and if she was in my shoes she wouldn't do it.
