Wow I'm really surprised at how much it would take people to quit work.
A cool million and I'm out. I don't want or need a big house, so I buy a nice $300,000 dollar house, and there's no mortgage to worry about.

Pay off my student loans, and just work at some job that I find fun and interesting a couple days a week. Those jobs in general don't pay well, but I wouldn't need much money with no mortgage to pay, and no debt.

Or what I might do is like someone above suggested, put the money where I can get a 4% - 5% return, and just work for a year or two, take the money I get on my return and invest that into a property/debts.. Then when thats all taken care of quit, and live off of that.
