There are two things that irk me about Farve: (1) He's unretiring again. I don't mind what Niedermayer or Selanne did or any NFL player who waits until he's had time to think about the season before deciding. What bothers me is that Farve has had at least one, possibly two tearfilled goodbyes where he's said that he's done - both of which were announced days after the last game of the season/post-season; (2) His return is apparently based on vengence. Come on.
The Vikings would be a better team with a better QB but I have two questions/concerns: First, obviously his injury. He elected not to have surgery because he was going to retire, so now he cant have the surgery in time to recover for the season and the state of his bicep will be a concern all season. Second, the Vikings have an offense built on running the football. If Farve is brought in does he force them into his "gunslinging, high risk-high reward, interception happy" offense or do they stay committed to the run and keep defenses honest with a QB that can throw a deep ball?
I hope he doesn't sign, but if he does, I hope Green Bay ends his career officially first time they meet.
