I turned 18 just as Electric Ave was getting it's orders. I made it to Coconut Joes and 3 Cheers for my B-day. By then they were pretty trashy anyway.
Fox and Firken somehow got the rights to stay open a few years longer, and I went there a few times. But it was the only bar on the block by then. (Which was the intention)
But it's because of stuff like this the Avenue got shut down. I mean, looking at it now, what a black eye for us, even though no one got hurt. I'm embarrsed just looking at that vid!
