If you want to go to the shows, make sure you visit the "half price" ticket places. There's a couple of them, but the easiest to find is in the same building as the Coke store and the M&M store (it's between the two of them).

They sell same-day tickets for most of the shows in town for about half the face value. There are very few shows that they don't have tickets for.

With the economy the way it is right now, Vegas is suffering (I get multiple emails a week from the various hotel/casinos offering me insanely cheap room rates - yesterday, I got one from the MGM-Grand offering $50 per night rooms), so you shouldn't have to pay full price for anything.


I'm not a big buffet person, but the one at the Rio is huge, with pretty much every type of food possible. It's off the Strip, but they have a free shuttle from Paris that runs at least once an hour (or taxis are relatively cheap).
