As you know, we've moved twice in 3 years. Moved with Jim DeLay Movers both times, and my parents also used his company once for an in-town move and then for a move out to Kelowna. He came highly recommended to my parents, who then highly recommended him to us (my parents have moved A LOT over the years and across Canada so they are pretty knowledgable about good/bad movers).

I honestly didn't do much research other than take the recommendation from my parents and their friends - but I've been happy both times, and next time we move, we'll call him again.

Pretty sure they are not the cheapest ever, but they are fully insured, they haven't lost or broken anything (including some more important pieces like piano, china cabinet, huge TV, etc), and they move quickly.

Here's the company info on superpages:

Doing it yourselves sucks, and I honestly don't find it *that* much cheaper once you price out all the moving supplies you need to do it right without wrecking your stuff (blankets, bubble wrap, etc) and renting a U-Haul or Pod or whatever.
