That's sort of the thing about drafts and filling needs. How often can a pure rookie come in and immediately make an impact? It often takes a while.
Every year I have read CNNSI.com Dr. Z's mock draft (who couldn't do it this year because of 3 strokes he had last year); and in his columns he mentioned how he hated that drafts were graded in the following week because it often took years to see how these young players fit into the NFL.
The NFL draft is a huge event, and I get wrapped up in seeing who my team takes, but in the days after it is always important to temper my feelings.
