Badly played or not, Jesse was right in that the ads they produced were horsecrap, and a country music singer shouldnt be lording a task over a guy who has experience with editorial/creative work. He went a little emo in his reaction, but the gist of it was correct.
It's funny how a lot of these tasks are more or less design/branding exercises (my industry of work), and how awful and sub-par they can be. Even with the every-man Celebrity apprentices where you supposedly have extremely intelligent (or at least expensively trained) people coming up with branding/design, the ideas they produced were just corny and obvious to the max. But I guess if you asked me to be a plumber or an accountant, I'd be pretty bad too.
