I'm having an annoying problem where I start up my computer and the computer starts but the monitor flashes as if it was off.# After clicking the switch on the back a few times it'll start up and work fine.# Sometimes it'll start up fine but other times it wont.# My computer locks up some times too if I close the case door a bit too hard.
Is the computer actually starting up and going to windows or is it just the monitor doesn't recognize that the computer is started? It sounds a bit like a problem I had once where when I would start or restart the computer, the monitor would flash as if the computer was off and the computer would keep trying to send power to the drives as if it wanted to start up but would never actually start up. Then I would shut it off for a couple of minutes and turn it on again fine. The problem was that I didn't have a large enough power supply for my system (only had 300W). As a temp fix I underclocked my cpu until I got a bigger power supply. Once I did that everything seemed to work fine. Don't know if that is the same problem as you are having though. And I don't know about the closing the case door part. [/b][/quote]
When I start the computer the lights go on and you can hear the fans running but the monitor lights just as if it was off. This morning when I started it up in ended up getting a CMOS CheckSum error too. This is what my case is:
