Just had to bump this thread, as I have a question about something. So I'm lookin up combined flight/hotels on Expedia, and found some killer ones for a 10-day trip to the Mayan Riviera. We got our hotel basically picked, but haven't booked yet. Anyways, I'm seein from Calgary its $1468/person, which is pretty reasonable(and lower than its been in two months). I live in Edmonton however, and from here its showing $1842/person. That's almost a $400 dollar difference per person just for flying from 266km up the road!
Now I know itd be a different flight, which could account for some price difference. But its the same company(United) and basically around the same time of day. Any idea why there'd be such a crazy difference in price?
btw I'm already planning on driving down to Calgary with the girl to fly from there, if its that much cheaper. I'm just curious why there's such a difference. It seems bizarre.
Oh, and I'll get the first response out of the way: "Because no-one wants to go to Edmonton". We'll pick it up from there...
