Surprised that it hasnt been mentioned here yet (unless I missed it).
What do you guys think about Ralph's new plan for health care? IMO our current health care system is lacking, and it seems like we need a new vision (not saying that Klein will be able to provide this).
I myself am I huge supporter of Universal Health Care and do not want to see us go to private health care. I find myself drifting towards a mixed system where the average citizen has access to all neccesary health care (current coverage), but people who choose to pay extra for additional services should be allowed to. These people are going to the states and europe for these special treatments, so why not keep them in this country. One concern that I have is that both systems will not be monitored suffiecently, ie. costs that doctors/hosipitals can charge for extra services or that the basics of health care will not be provided correctly or there will be line jumpers (paying to get in front of someone).
Just some quick thoughts, anyone else have an opinion?
