Why not sign up for NHL GameCentre Live? The online feed quality is really quite good this year.
Worst case, a Canadian team is definitely going to be on CBC, and you can watch the CBC hockey feeds live online too. They are small screen, but if you hold down the Control key on the Mac and roll your scroll wheel on your mouse, you can zoom in and make it fill the screen. Then , you just have to sit far back or scrunch up your eyes to make it look a little less blocky
