This is the reason I feel safe on Calgary streets... virtually the only killings in this city are gang related. I'm not a gang member, so why should I worry about being shot? I do, however, live downtown and work in the NE, so I sometimes worry about getting shot in a driveby, and cringe when I see a little black Honda driving by. I guess I'll have to start watching out for Pathfinders now, too.

One of the killings in June was a case of mistaken identity. Not too mention the fact that innocents get hit in the crossfire. I don't feel nearly as safe as I did say 3 or 4 years ago. [/b][/quote]
Hard to mistake me, (a caucasian female,) for a gang member.... unless I started dressing like a tramp I suppose.
And I remember the family saying it was a case of mistaken identity... but then it would be easy to hide such a fact as gang involvement from your parents.
