I don't know much about PSPs library, so feel free to fill in some big ones I've left out, but the ones I listed for DS were pretty much the deciding factor for me.

One thing that keeps the PSP a viable option is the fact that it can be modded to play original PS1 games... like Final Fantasy 7 for instance.
I dont actually own a PSP yet, and Im not entirely sure why not, but the PSP is the only place to get Final Fantasy: Crisis Core, and eventually in NA Final Fantasy: Dissidia (its already been released in Japan, although I guess this game is closer to a fighting game than an RPG) and further down the road Final Fantasy(agito)XIII

also on the PSP you can buy the first two Star Ocean games (renamed as first departure and second evolution) Star ocean:second story (second evolution) is one of my favorite PS1 RPGs

not too sure about other games available, but the FF exclusives on PSP and Star Ocean are enough for me to want to get one, its just a matter of actually tracking down a copy of Crisis Core first, because I havent seen one in stores...I may just buy it through amazon or something

the only thing Ill say about Nintendo, as a consumer their business model of basically releasing the same handheld console every year but "slimmer" or with a little bit of added functionality annoys me. However if I was a share holder, I would be laughing all the way to the bank
