Not that kind of retail store. We have an office which is a necessity for the type of job. I'm not the cashier, I'm the supervisor. My tasks are all stuff that I do out on the floor or in the office. I just stream the games on the Fan 960 and just check in to the office every once and a while to check the score, check CP etc.
When my tasks were done (which, since I was an awesome worker, didn't take long) I'd just chill out in the office and give my cashier assistance when they needed it. My job was very goal oriented. Get x number of jobs done and you're good for the evening. I'd just finish them all right away and then enjoy my free time, instead of some people who just work half assed all the time and don't get free time.
I've never had anything but a glowing performance review and always was given the important jobs because I was my bosses right hand man. In fact, I was there before she was and was the Ast. Manager at the time. I really mentored her into her new store and helped her establish herself there. I really got sold out and all just for dramatic effect to scare a bunch of 18 yo kids into working hard because they'll be afraid to get fired.
