And that's the problem with these situations as a whole. Obviously the government needs to choose and age of "adulthood" but some just arent there yet, while others could be considered adults at the age of 16 depending on their maturity level.

Just as a inquisition (no I'm not going around testing this) but what is the law with underage if you are around the same age. For arguments sake, I'm 19, what if I was to date a girl of 16 or 17? is that illegal? I thought there was some rule that its not if you're within 3 years of the younger person in age.
