Default Monitor Question/Problem

Hey CP

Another quick question for the masses. I have a Samsung LCD monitor for my desktop. For some reason, if I turn off the monitor to go away from a computer for a bit, the computer doesn't detect it when I come back and turn the monitor on again. The monitor will search for input sources (Digital, HDMI, Analogue) and then give up after awhile. I have to reboot my computer before the screen works again. This occurs whether I'm using a DVI or HDMI. The manual suggests ensuring my videocard driver is up to date (Radeon HD 4870). For laptops, there is a Func + F4 that you can press that I can sometimes use if my screen wasn't showing. Is there something like that for PC's? Besides from ensuring my drivers are up to date, is there any advice you can give me?

Thanks
